Oh, and by the way....

Since I'm going to try and keep "y'all" (4+ years of living in GA and I still put qoutation marks when I write that online... :P ) updated with a little of my life when I have time, let me tell you one of the higlights of last year (it's one of the highlights of my whole life, actually).

Anyways, I got up one Saturday morning (I worked that day, but later - at 3pm) sometime around 4ish and dad drove the two of us out to a friends place that's out in the woods of Georgia, and I walked through a dark, eerie forest, crossed a stream in my waterproof boots (still in the dark), tramped up a hill, and climbed into a treestand and watched as everything began to take form - trees became distinguishable, birds started flying around - and I waited and waited....  Squirrels would mess up my concentration, there was a flock (?) of crows that were extremely annoying, but around 9am, I saw one - That elusive creature called the Whitetail Deer.
So I picked up my rifle and got it in my scope....  But it was turned and walking away from me and into the woods on the left.  another missed opportunity on my part to capitalize on a shot at one.  But wait!  No sooner had I let go of that one then another and another popped out of the woods to my right!  I looked them over at a glance and went for the better shot - which also happened to be the bigger one.  The next is history to be told by word of mouth and not written down for the world to see on the internet.  :D

Here's the Vic Pic ~

  3. Frisbee season will probably start up in March. But don't quote me on that. :)

Here's the rest of the story... The day happened to be Dec. 24th, which is more commonly known as "Christmas Eve". :D And some good friends of ours (the Memmler guys) came out and helped us to gut it. :) a lot of the credit goes to them!

(Plus it was a good shot, because I was 100 Yards away... ;)

  4. Hey, it's great to see the photo of the story I already heard. Maybe I can sample some of your venison next week! Can't wait to hear all about it in person. See you soon!

  5. Sure! I'm warning you though - you might not want to eat anything else after that (besides more venison....). :D Anyways, I know you've probably had some before, but mom and dad said that the one I got doesn't have a very "Gamey" taste... Just how I like it.

  6. Hey I go to Grace Community Fellowship Church. I don't think I ever got to really know you but I did get to know Sarah a little and I know that y'all are like in charge of Frisbee. I've been thinking about going to it for a long time now but have procrastinated because I don't really know how to play and I'm not very gifted when it comes to sports. What's it like?

  7. Hey! :) Yes, I coordinate Frisbee and we have it at our house.

Anyways, you can still come - athletic or not! We usually have to different games going on at the same time (One is a not-yet-in-high-school, and the other is a more competitive game). The "big" field is fine for beginners too, we still try and get the Frisbee around to everyone who plays. And Ultimate is one of the easiest sports to learn!

We always have a few people off to the side sitting and watching or playing bags sometimes! And after the game, we have everyone back to our house for snack and games. :) It's fun! You could come just for that! ;)

We're starting up around March, and we play on Friday nights. If you need more info, just leave another comment and I'll get back to you! :)

  9. Alrighty! We play at an Elementary school in Peachtree City (Oak Grove Elem.). I put you on the Frisbee update email list - I send out all the dates and times in that email - so, you'll be up to date on all that's going on with Friday Frisbee. :)

    See you there!
