Promotion

Well, Blog readers...  Most of you know that I work at Chick-fil-A, but some of you don't know that I got promoted to "Boards Team Leader" last Wednesday!  :)

With this promotion comes a lot more responsibility, so I'm trying to get used to that fact and also become a better leader and person.  I'd appreciate it if you would help me in this "transition" period of my life by lifting me up in your prayers.

~Jay

PS...  Is wealth really worth it?  ;)

  1. Congratulations on your promotion! I'm proud of you.

Regarding your P.S... Always doing your best in an honorable way and in a way that honors our Lord is worth it. If you are rewarded as a result of it, so be it.

Regarding "wealth"... Someone (I don't remember who) once said something like, "He who desires little is rich, but he who desires much is poor". Money has little to do with it.

Keeping you in my prayers and "Love ya",

    Grandpa

  3. Thanks guys! (I'll refrain from using "y'all" ;)

By the way Grandpa, that is a good thought. :) God gives us wealth to glorify Him with it... and all to often we think that we deserve it, but in reality it's all a gift that we're supposed to use for the One who gave it to us. (another thought here - that's one reason why we tithe, so as to remember that we're just stewards of the wealth God has given us.)

  4. Hey Justus!

I was working on my blog makeover and noticed your update in my dashboard - Congratulations on the promotion! I told Mark and Steven about it and they think that it's great that you got promoted. We will definitely keep you in our prayers. :)

As to your P.S, it depends on what someone does with their wealth. Overall, I'd say health and happiness are more important.
On that note, would you and your family please keep my mom in your prayers? She has been having a lot of trouble lately with her ankle swelling up from the arthritis, and on crutches in the morning and evenings.

And... we probably will not make it to Frisbee this week, but we'll be at Bible Study on Sunday. Maybe we'll see you there. :)
