Some new things for Frisbee 2011

1.  I'm commissioning mom to take at least 200 pictures of Frisbee this year!  I'm also planning on sharing some of those with you on here.  :)

2.  We have better lights under the cones...  No more dealing with candles!

3.  At our house (after the game) we're planning on playing Presidents each night.  (unless all y'all don't want to ;)

Well that's all I could think of for now, but I hope you guys like them.  :)

  2. I like intense theological, scoial, and political discussions! (okay, being a bit smart-alecky.)

Seriously, we had a blast at Liberty Day 2011. If youtube videos are posted I'll send you links.

  3. Man, I just looked at the GHEA website. Y'all are going to have a great convention this year (at least judging by the keynote speakers). I'm turning green (just kidding). We are hoping to be able to attend the our ICHE convention...Mr. Ham, Mrs. Waring, and others-but man, any time I get to hear Mr. Baucham or Mr. Swanson it's a blast. Convicting, inspiring...

BTW, Dr. Joe Morecraft spoke on the War Between the States at Liberty Day. Not everybody exactly liked it, but I loved it, of course. There were some negative reactions as always, but I think a lot of people came away at least a bit more open-minded.

(If you've never heard Dr. Morecraft speak, look him up on SermonAudio.com. His lectures are fantastic, particularly on the issues of reformed theology and providential history.)

And Mr. Charlie Zahm was wonderful to listen to as always.

Anyway, hope y'all have a good convention!

  4. Yep, it's looking good - speaker-wise. I'm working in the used book sale and taping booth for all of it though...

Nice! Yep, I know who Dr. Morecraft is! (I even have his autograph! :) We used to see them (the Morecrafts) at a particular event almost every week, but the event is no longer happening.

Charlie Zahm... He'd be better if he would play some quiet music once in a while... :)

  5. Yes. Charlie Zahm. Loud. Invigorating. Manly music. for my part, I cannot get enough of it. Sorry, can't concur with ya on that, although not all of Mr. Zahm's music is loud per se, (e. g. My Heart's in the Highlands, Kilkelly Ireland, Loch Lomond, Caledonia and Me, and quite a few other good songs.) but my favorite songs that he sings are on the louder side-perhaps save one.

Glad to hear that you know Dr. Morecraft. I'm currently reading his book "How God Wants Us To Worship Him."

Dan has had the chance to talk with him for a little while, and he's sending us a few books to read...

Been doing some study on paedobaptism recently. Interesting. Very interesting. I've been raised credobaptist, but as of now I have to say I lean pretty heavily paedobaptist. Want to know my thoughts? (If you can't tell, I'm itching for another fifty-two comment discussion.)

Eschatology too. I'm convinced that your eschatology has a big impact upon the way one thinks about Christianity and the world. And I must also say that I'm pretty sick of defeatist eschatology, and that I no longer have a really big aversion to eschatological discussions. (Oh, by the way, the world is supposed to end on May 21 this year. At least I'll get to turn sixteen! :P Oh, brother!)

Political update: The 29th Presiding Autocrat of the United State of America, Senator Barack Obama, has decided to run for reelection.

So who would YOU support for 2012?

By the way, have you been following the current events regarding Ken Ham and the homeschool conventions from which he was removed from speaking? Very important stuff. If not, I recommend that you visit Mr. Ham's blog on Answers in Genesis and get informed.

This is a long comment for a post like this, but I'm kind of exploding with stuff I want to say right now and had to get some of it out!

  6. Take a look at the wall of Scions of Danger facebook page. They've posted a video where actor Christopher Field answers a very important question with regards to acting a villain in a film.

  7. Andy, I'm not allowed to get on FB, but is that video anywhere else (Vimeo, Youtube...)? I'd be rather interested in seeing it if I can! :)
